"Five anchor" Certified Eco-Rated Marina Whether you take to the water by power, sail or paddle, the pleasure we all derive from boating is based on our enjoyment of the pristine waters and scenic shorelines of Georgian Bay. To ensure that we have a clean and healthy environment for our enjoyment today and for future generations, Queen’s Cove has adopted Environmental Best Practices as a policy and way of doing business. Queen’s Cove Marina is a "five anchor" certified eco-rated marina. Eco Ratings are achieved in an audit covering more than 200 environmental practices. The audit results in rating system with from a low of one to a high of five anchors. This program was created through the cooperation of the Ontario Marine Operators Association, Environment Canada, and Ontario Ministry of Environment. This Eco-Rating allows you to choose from the most environmentally responsible marinas. If you are cruising in unfamiliar waters, the Eco-Rating helps you choose a marina that is doing all they can to preserve our lakes and rivers. |
